this is a stamp i bought at the canyon museum - using 2 different tim holtz inks i created this here paper with b&w stripped border and ripped yellow with some turquoise showing through..

really happy with the way this layout turned out!

its a princess party! 

to create this layout i used a new collection i had just gotten from "the girls paperie" and had it set aside for a mini book and was so excited about using this super girlie collection i just had to find a good macy photo to use with it too!

happy 6th birthday!

so happy with the way it turned out! other than macy's photos i never get to do girlie layouts.. so this was super fun for me!

macy monday double layout

Macy in Mexico!

a mixture of a bunch a different "old" papers were just perfect for the bright colors i wanted for this Mexican  double layout just to the left of the picture is a little journaling spot for macy to write down her on title (so its in her own handwriting) or a couple thoughts/memories of the trip

double cut the flowers and added a button for fun

love the way this big green leaf/turquoise added so much texture and color! underneath the leaf is some cheescloth scrap fabric and underneath that - is brown and orange acrylic paint

using K & company's paper pad "daydreams" and Martha Stewart envelopes i create this super mini to hold some school time keepsakes
 

my intention is to sale this in my etsy shoppe 

so it could be used for a boy or girl 

 there is tons of room for pictures, momentous  and all kinds of cool and fun stuff!

 

 

it was super easy to make and i just love the results 

it really could be used for something other than school too!

if i was going to keep it - this is probubly where i would have kept it in this little alcove in our hallway but i'm sending it to a close friend {who was the maid of honor in our wedding.. kim} she'll love it! she's a color designer and just got a new condo so i thought this would be a perfect housewarming gift

Back to School blog hop day 2

welcome to the 2nd day of our 

{back to school blog hop}

{i'm just going to apologize  ~ in advance for the terrible pictures but with the hurricane like storms we've been having in Florida USA lately the natural lighting is nonexistent!} 

because i'm planning to take a couple college classes this fall i thought a journal would be perfect to keep all my notes, schedule, memories and so on in the same place!

so this is my back to college journal 

all the gorgeous papers/pages from the opening side

inside front cover

lots of little details and stitching make this a loaded full of thoughtful texture kind of book

did tons of sewing

and i love this ledger paper from basic grey!

all the ledger tabs are ready for a class name or notes

this is one of my favorite trimmings! loooove it!

paper flower diecut with a brad - just for fun

need some class photos here with a couple notes around don't you think!?

tons of journaling space here!

if you look closely you can tell the edges of the pages are sewn - the truth is i didn't use any glue - all 100% of these pages are held together with sewing

this was a super-fun book to create and can't wait to fill it with tons of momentous!
