12x12 layouts and introducing supplies

wow! I’ve been all about layouts lately - normally its mini books all the way.

I’ve been so inspired by all the challenge blogs i'm trying (not to successfully either) to keep up with, movies I’ve watched lately.. Then I read on a design team member’s blog for let's scrap how she writes everything she uses in the post with the layout! How basic a thought! ya know? but I’ve never thought of doing it - what great reference.. so I’m giving it a shot starting with this post. Here goes.
I’ve kept the layouts simple, clean and its been fun getting so much done!

the latest color palette from the color room was very difficult for me (unlike the last one!)

but i gave it a shot and created this..

which now that i'm looking at isn't so bad..

alex the real deal
paper: DCWV, bazzil, color mates
cricut cartridge: george and basic shapes
fibers and ribbon: i'm not really sure.. sorry
sticker: sandy lion
frame: handcut

the tag says: my first mother day gift from alex. its so special! i love watching him grow up!

first mother's day gift
paper: bazzil
flower punch: fiskars
tag: unknown
ribbion: joann's

this picture has been hangin up in my craft room ever since my mother in law gave it to me - which was quite a while ago. not sure just why i like it so much but i can't help but smile when i look at it.

eric, jordan, marnee
paper: deja views, basic grey
bracket punch: paper shapers
cricut cartridge: opposites attract
ink: (on squared edges) colorbox

tell me this isn't eric all the way!?
i love it.. maybe one of my favorites to date not because of the layout itself but.. cause that's the guy i love.

surf fishing
paper: bazzil, unknown
sticker boarders: unknown - they were a gift & the package has no markings.. but i love them!
corner punch: ek success

the little man that could
(hehe.. he's soo cute! looks just like his daddy!)
paper: bazzil, k marcella
round and scolloped punches: fiskars
cricut cartridge: (font) doodletype
rubons: luxe designs
ribbon: joann's
mini clothes pins: unknown

i'm going back and scraping all of alex's school pictures.
loved the way this one turned out.. and so did he!

school picture 2006
paper: bazzil
canvas tape: 7 gypsies
title shape: hand cut

this is an old (i mean really old) family photo
that's my mother and her family having christmas dinner.. LONG before i was even thought about..
i love these pictures there not the best shots but the only ones we have so i didn't want them to look to christmasy

this color palette was inspired by the mad hatter

family christmas dinner
paper: bazzil, s.e.i., solid gold - target
flowers: prima
buttons: unknown
thread: cross-stitching thread
netting (on flower): by the yard at joann's
circle punch (to create while scollop): fiskars

wow! that was a lot of work typing all those supplies out! i'm going to have to pay more attention when i'm making the layouts what i'm using.. so in the future i can make better note for ya..

well, that's all for now i'm gunna get back to my current poject.. a mini book!.. i'll give you a sneek peek..

palette #9

i've been a member of the color room for a while but never posted any pictures or participated in a given color palette until now, which is surprising considering my general dislike and meaning of the color pink. however, what really caught me was the combination of the 4 given colors and even more surprising was how many supplies i had with pink in them.
maybe i'm to quick to judge this color of "weakness" and femininity.. cause i was soo inspired by this combination i created 3 layouts!

the latest palette #9

here are my creations

my two favorite photos taken of me while in england
the one of me sitting was taken (by mom) in greenage - south of london - you can see canary warf in the background
