the new color palette from the color room
this is what i created

a long while ago my sister in law *macy* asked if i would make a scrapbook with her childhood pictures
the overwhelming amount of pictures has made this task somewhat of an undertaking.. and that's putting in mildly! :) then her family went through a devastating tornado that hit Oklahoma and they lost everything - including all her childhood pictures! the only ones she has left are the ones she gave me to scrap.
suddenly it became personal and i understood the priceless memories these pictures held for her and her family.
enter the color room; when i sat down to create this weeks layout i had a thought... what if i created a layout every week using the color room as my spring board for inspiration.. that way its not 300,000,000,000+ pictures.. its just 1 layout a week.. that seems manageable!

i wasn't really going to show the pages i created for macy's book because i know she *you* read my blog so faithfully.. but maybe its something you can look forward to everyweek.. instead of just receiving it in about 20 years when i'm finally done! :) haha!

hope you like it macy!

  1. OH!! I love it!! The colors fit so well with that whole picture! You're genius!

That's a great idea! It's always more motivating to work on something when you get to show it off! That's what I'm learning as I scan in this mountain of pictures...if I share them online, it's like immediate gratification for my work.

Even if you show me sneak peeks of each layout, I know it will still take my breath away to see them in person!!

Thank you times a million for doing this!
